Cards 4 a Cause
In three short years, Cards 4 a Cause (C4aC) has blossomed into yet another amazing group of talented, giving people at Ocean Ridge.
With over 150 members, beautiful cards are produced each month and distributed to numerous organizations for them to include with the services they provide.
This warmth is spread far and wide. Recipients include a variety of groups such as Just One Foster Care, Novant Hospital, Coastal Pointe, Birthday Wishes, Meals on Wheels, Veterans Welcome Home Center and Chicago-based Cards for Hospitalized Kids. Imagine your hospital meal tray arriving with a cheerful note of encouragement!
One recent month saw the group create over 930 cards.
And a sister-group has evolved which visits the Autumn Care Nursing Home and works with residents on craft projects. The smiles, laughter and personal interactions are priceless.
ORCA is proud to support this amazing work with an annual donation to help offset the cost of supplies.
