Join us for light refreshments, a free drawing of a Marilyn Pounds painting, and see how the Ocean Ridge contributions to ORCA have made a difference for those in need in the Brunswick County community.
 
ORCA has now been in existence for 12 years. The 10-year anniversary in 2020 was overshadowed by the restrictions that Covid brought. The current Board feels that the 10-year milestone was an important one and wants to commemorate the work of ORCA.  To recognize the 10-year anniversary and to thank the Ocean Ridge community for the significant support for those in need in Brunswick County, we are hosting a 10 + 2 Anniversary Celebration. We hope you will join us on Thursday, April 21st from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at the Plantation Club. 

At 3:00 p.m. we will have a short program hosted by ORCA President Maggy Schlink. Maggy will formally recognize the founding of ORCA and the previous Board Members. We hope you are able to join us for this event.

Again, thank you for all your efforts in support of ORCA and Brunswick County. We look forward to seeing you on April 21st!

Ocean Ridge Charities Association Inc (ORCA) held a celebratory Wine and Cheese Party to thank all the wonderful Ocean Ridge residents who have given so generously over the last 5 years since we started the organization.  It was FREE and, in addition to wine, soda, water, cheese and other snacks, we had a cake to mark this exciting occasion.

 

Doors opened at 3PM, with presentations by Mike Gildea (President, ORCA), Amy Kelly (ORCA Board Member) and Dr. Susanne Adams (President, BCC) who talked about the success of your donations towards the Ocean Ridge-David Kelly Nursing Endowment at BCC...all from 3:30 - 4:00.  

 

We were also be joined by representatives from many of the charities that your donations of time and money have supported.  It gave you an opportunity, at your leisure, to get to know more about them, hear what great work they are doing and gave THEM a chance to thank you in person.
