2026 Charity Scramble
All residents and property owners of Ocean Ridge are invited to help create a colorful sea of flags next month to honor and remember loved ones while supporting Ocean Ridge Charities Association (ORCA) for the benefit the Women’s Life Center of Shallotte. The flags, with your name or that of your loved one(s), will be displayed in front of Tamer’s during the Ocean Ridge men’s and ladies’ golf leagues Charity Scramble fundraising event on November 2, and they are on sale now through October 30.
Individuals, clubs and groups are encouraged to participate, and it’s easy. Flag order forms are available at the Ridge Center and Plantation Club. Or you can print the flag request form by clicking on the attachment below.
All proceeds from your flag purchases will go directly through ORCA to the Women’s Life Center of Shallotte. Women’s Life Center provides a safe, supportive place for women and families facing unplanned pregnancies and for individuals impacted by human trafficking. Through pregnancy services, compassionate care, and trusted community resources, we walk alongside each person with dignity, guidance, and hope during difficult moments.

CHARITY SCRAMBLE THANK YOU
A field of colorful flags in front of Tamer’s represented the caring and giving spirit of Ocean Ridge during the ORLGA/ORMGA Charity Scramble fundraiser on November 3.
Our sincere gratitude goes to the generosity of the players and community members, the work of the committee and supporting helpers, and the support of Ocean Ridge Golf.
With proceeds from the golf tournament, the memory and honor tribute flags that so many of you bought, and private donations, Ocean Ridge raised over $5,700 for two ORCA local charities: Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity and Hope Harbor Home.
Habitat for Humanity provides low- and moderate-income households the opportunity for affordable home ownership. An employee of Ocean Ridge Golf just received a home in Shallotte from Habitat for Humanity, so we are especially pleased to support their efforts. Hope Harbor Home serves victims of domestic and sexual violence in Brunswick County – its services include a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter for women and their children, empowerment support group, victim advocacy, and community education and outreach programs.
A big thanks to all of you for your meaningful contributions to these worthy organizations!
