THE ANNUAL ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR
Saturday, November 4, 2023
11am – 2pm
Nature Pavilion

The Ocean Ridge Charities Association (ORCA) Annual Arts & Crafts Fair was held on a sunny Saturday in November at the Nature Pavilion. Twenty two of our creative neighbors shared their talents with us. And many of us went home with new art work, baked goods, holiday decor and so much more.
ORCA also sold raffle tickets for a beautiful holiday quilt which will be raffled off on December 2 at the Holiday Marketplace Raffle. Luminaries were available and they will 'Light Up the Night' as our driveways glow with holiday cheer on the evening of Dec 2. ORCA also benefited from a very generous vendor donation of all his event proceeds!
Thank you to all who participated... crafters, lookers and buyers. Proceeds will be bundled with the monies from our other holiday events and will go to support Brunswick Electric's 'Warm Homes, Warm Hearts'.

Ocean Ridge Holiday Arts and Crafts Show
The Pavilion
Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022

Again this year, the Pavilion was filled with wonderful, enthusiastic crowds for the Holiday Arts & Crafts Show. And Mother Nature contributed a gorgeous, summerlike day - perfect for shopping and socializing!
Many thanks to all who came and made it such a big success. Also, a great big Thank You to all our multi-talented vendors. What amazing work you do. The show simply would not happen without all of you and your wonderful talents!
The vendor fees amounted to $570, to be donated by Ocean Ridge Charities Association (ORCA) to Warm Homes-Warm Hearts heating assistance at Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation. And - “drum roll please” - BEMC matches that dollar for dollar. So a total of $1,140 to assist those who need help to pay their heating bills!
There’s even more: Many thanks to Judy Cunningham for the beautiful Christmas quilt she generously made and donated. The auction for the quilt raised an amazing $1,700… which increases to $3,400 when matched by BEMC – great! And congratulations to Kelly Miller, the lucky winner!
Again, thank you to our wonderful Ocean Ridge community for your outstanding support, and our incredibly gifted neighbors who shared their terrific talents with all!

The winner of the ORCA quilt raffle today was Kelly Miller!

ORCA Thank You For Holiday Activities
THANK YOU OCEAN RIDGE RESIDENTS FOR OUR MOST SUCCESSFUL HOLIDAY SEASON EVER!

ORCA RAISED $10,500 FOR BEMC and DONATED ANOTHER $20,000 to BC Charities
Ocean Ridge Charities Association (ORCA), along with the Social Activities Committee, is proud to sponsor the “Annual Kick off to the Holidays in Ocean Ridge!” The following events contribute towards these efforts: the Holiday Craft’s Fair, the Holiday Market Place, Luminaries and the Holiday House Tour. The proceeds of these events go to BEMC’s Warm Homes, Warm Hearts program, which DOUBLES our contribution to Brunswick County residents! That’s $21,000 to assist in providing heat and electric to those in need.
Due to the Corporate Sponsor Program, the generosity of our neighbors, an Allstate Grant, the memorial fund and other contributions, ORCA has donated an additional $20,000 in the name of Ocean Ridge residents to the following Brunswick County Charities this month:
Brunswick Family Assistance, Brunswick Community College Foundation, Carousel Center, Habitat, Hope Harbor, Literacy Council, Providence Home, Shallotte Lions, Toy Run and Waves4Kids.
A special THANK YOU to all our volunteers, event organizers and ORCA board members for all of the tireless work they put in to make all of this happen. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

2020 Ocean Ridge
Holiday Craft
Show
November 14, 2020
11:00AM - 2:00PM
Pavilion

Ocean Ridge's annual Arts and Crafts Fair took place on a beautiful Saturday in mid-November. And, for at least a little while, it seemed like everything was back to normal.
There were some changes this time: the Fair was at the Pavilion, not the Plantation Club - and everyone arrived wearing a face-mask.
The artists and crafters were delighted with the event.
There was a great turnout of people to see the products, and, as usual, to once again socialize with one another.
For a few hours it was almost a welcome return to normal!
